Difference- in simple words- Over-ear headphones completely covers your ears while on-ear headphones rests on your ear. Both have their merits and demerits. While Over-ear headphones are costlier and provides better noise isolation, On-ear headphones are comparatively cheaper and are portable. So our Philips DJ SHL 3000/00 is an on-ear headphone. MRP @ 999 INR, I think these are the most affordable with no compromise in the quality headphone...
